Reply: I'll tell you these days I have so many interests in so many directions that singing has kind of gone to the back burner. I'm sure things will shuffle around soon though and I'll get back into it more. I really appreciate you coming to listen and thanks for the comments. Wow Drea this is some hard core metal...never heard of this band before but it kind of sounds like Sabbath meets Venim LOL Awesome performance, got this cranked & my speakers are shaking! |
Reply: This band really did kick in its day...definitely one of the heavier female bands I've heard. I was hoping to get something done for MM tonight, but I've just been too busy - so its most likely going to be a couple weeks. My God! She's back!! Now I that's what I call a true metal salute to our good (BD) buddy, Mark - LMAO! Love that raspy and angry/scary sound (but in a cool monotone sort of way) that you're so good at injecting, into your sings. girl. This was SO HOT - absolutely LOVED my listen, sweetie, ya hear? Wanting and looking for more of the same, girl!!!!

Reply: Hey John...this stuff is actually pretty tricky to sing, especially going back and forth from heavy to soft. Since I record live to CD, I have to do it all in one shot. Its pretty difficult to go from that real angry sound, then dial it down and try to control through the melodic parts with literally just one breath in between. The advantage to my recording methods is that I can sing this stuff live LOL. Thanks so much for the listen and comments - hopefully I'll have something new soon!! :) :) |

I'm lol at Mother's Day Prep Work and listening to this totally rockin son of a gun!!! This is a masterpiece Mom, wonder what the kids are gonna be singin? Great Choice - Great Performance!!!! |
Reply: LMAO luckily we never have to find out what the kids will sing...although I've corrupted enough of my friends kids who now like to sing metal. Actually I contract out to a flower shop to do their bookkeeping and they draft me on major floral holidays to handle the phones and process orders. I always need to be prepped on prices, specials, etc. though since I don't handle it day to day. I sure do appreciate you coming to listen and thanks so much for the comments!! :) :) |

Reply: This is the kind of stuff I like to sing the most, but its definitely not everyone's cup of tea LOL. The only stuff I've posted lately has been "safe" so since Mark is one of SS's supreme rockers, I had to go out of my way to do it extra heavy. I've been singing metal for as far back as I can remember, but its just been the last few years that I've been able to give it that extra edge. I sure do appreciate you coming to listen and thanks so much for the comments!! |

vettelady performs Enter My Mind on Singer's Showcase of Karaoke Scene Magazine Online: vettelady performs Enter My Mind on Singer's Showcase - Mark...I'm so sorry I'm late to the party...I must have tried on 8 different songs over the last 3 days and none of them was going where I wanted. All I know is I wanted to go heavy heavy heavy for the SS Metal god. I initially recorded this almost 3 years ago, but this is fresh off the recorder...my first recording since last May. This band is one of my favorites from the late 90's especially since they were a female metal band. Hope you had the best birthday!! Thanks to anyone who listens and I'll be around after work tomorrow to catch up with everyone. I'm entering "Mother's Day Prep Week" and have to put in a long day at the shop tomorrow, but I'll definitely make up for it when I get home. Hugsssss, Drea :) :)
