Lenny what can I say. You are probably the only person who could bring me out of my "hiatus" from here. It is sadly amazing how some of the people who walk this earth as angels can face as much adversity as you are right now. When i was subbing on Metal Mondays, the one thing that was a constant that never changed was you ALWAYS are there to comment on everybody. You dubbed me one of the Kings of Rock here, I actually feel more like a Prince and YOU are the King. You are tops my friend and I pray today we can dig in and cough up a little help for the man who is always there for us. You deserve so much better fortune than what you are dealing with. I took this calssic Elton John song and changed the lyrics a little. And as a special tribute to you my friend, I added a special lead at about the 2:35 mark. With all the "crap" thats been going on here (on both sides) its only fitting that we can do something like this to show that SS is more than a drama mill. That once again this can be a place of selflessness. God Bless You my frisnd :) I was asked to be a part of what we are calling A Penny For Lenny, which in hopes will bring in some money to help him in his time of need. With Lenny’s permission, we’ve included his name and address below & any contribution that anyone can make will surely be appreciated. A dollar, ten, twenty etc…Anything will be valued!....... "If you'd like to post a song and keep this drive going and give folks a reminder, simply put the letters 'PFL' (Penny for Lenny) at the end of your song title. And of course, we appreciate everybody's help, big or small."……. Who ever does donate any amount, Lenny will send them a 20 song CD of his best songs, performed by him of course....... Yo, Mikey! What's up, my man? I totally agree with you that lenny is the King of this place! Great dedication you put together here. As for the song, when the heck did you learn how to sing like that?? Damn, you're soundin' good these days! Your band must be having you sing lead more often, because you're sounding smoother & more polished than ever! There ain't nothing wimpy sounding about those high notes you delivered, either. You're an unstoppable force, dude! Hey, you're still up for doing that Sabbath song eventually, right? It's great to see you again! |
Reply: its weird man, i just got over walking pnumonia and my voice has some how come back from its laryngitous a lot more powerful than prior too..i still got your tracks man..it shouldnt be too hard since that song is like the same 3 notes over and over :D its next on my list though. Loved your pearl jam too dude ! |
