Hello everyone - I hope this song finds you all well - Russ gave me a prod over at youtube so I thought I'd pop a few recent recordings up. Sorry for not being around - Life has been hectic to say the least!!! - Baby Callum was born on 26th Sept 2008 - and I blew a fortune on trying to get through UK's X Factor (Something I wont be doing again......lol) - This is a tryout really - I've been working on quite a few Radiohead songs to see if I can change the direction of their original recordings.....For me the guitar work on this track lends itself to something Otis Redding would have put out in the mid 60's - and so I've tried to create what I think it could have sounded like - luv and hugz Justin x |

Justin!!! WOW! It's great to hear you again - I like the soulful vibe you gave this - you gave it a Squeeze meets Radiohead sound - whoever judged the UK's X-factor needs their hearing fixed - you are super talented & at the top of the rank vocally (imo) - loved this! - Rob B-) |
Reply: Hiya Rob - good to be bk! learnt lots of lessons from x-factor - mostly walk before you run and all that - NOT something I'll be doing ever again!!! I'll hopefully be back for a proper catch up with everyones subs as soon as baby Callum beats 'colic' this week!!!! J. |

Hey Justin, I think it's a cool idea to try and change songs to suit a different style. I love Radiohead, and love this song but I do have to say you've done a wicked job changing it up. This was amazing. Do you know the story about why Radiohead put that guitar riff in just before the chorus? They didn't like this song, didn't want the record company putting it on the album... so they tried to wreck it. It backfired, the record company liked it even more haha. Enjoyed my listen very much, great to hear your voice again - and congrats on your new addition Callum! :) xxx Lisa |
