KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - vettelady performs Freaking Out on Singer's Showcase - Happy Metal Monday everyone!! I didn't think I was going to make it...I had an impromptu karaoke session with a friend last night that lasted till about 4 a.m. Needless to say, it left me feeling pretty tired and, as for my singing, well...its ummmmmmm not good LOL. Now this song is a bit different for me as it is rap metal...something i've never done before. This needed some serious edge which I had "built in" from all the singing the night before, but the control was just not there, especially with switching between angry rap and singing, and doing it all in one shot (all my recordings are "live"). There are a couple timing errors, but I just didn't have it in me to re-do it LOL. Thanks to all who listen!! Hugsssss, Drea :) :)

Jerry777 Drea, I still don't know how you DO IT! One takers and with the right edge that 'sells' the song! This was actually a superb recording....esp. for the time of night and all. Great Job...and, I mean it. Jerry
Reply: LOL most of my fun with singing comes from singing live with my friends & recording is secondary for me. When I learn these songs, I want to be able to go out in the world and sing them...hopefully without running out of air LOL. I have so little time to devote as it is, & I get really frustrated when faced with the recording software. I'm so used to my method, that I can anticipate my mixes after singing a few measures. I really appreciate the wonderful comments...thank you so much!! :) :)

Connie Dang, girl! You definately had an edgy sound on this one. :)) Yea! Awesome job, Drea!
Reply: LOL When I hit this particular track, I just knew this was going to be the one. I had just the right amount of edge with no voice breaks. Just the 2 little spots on the timing, but since I stayed on beat, it wasn't overly noticable. I thank you so much for listening and for the comments!! Hugsssss :) :)

Lagusaya2 My first song of the day...I need a waker-upper! Oooooo Drea! those words! Tsk tsk...don't mind me! Your voice still attracts me! Have a fine day! Stan
Reply: LMAO its so funny...I was so tired when I posted this that I forgot about those couple of f bombs I so effortlessly dropped in here. I'm happy I got this recorded...I knew it was going to take some effort, but it was still a bit more than anticipated. I really appreciate you coming to listen and comment...thank you. :) :)

Reply: LMAO Lenny...so glad I tripped you up with my little song today. I have a great time singing this at my parties...just learned it a few weeks ago. Recording is another matter though...it always seems to give me fits. It took a bit, but I finally got this one and was quite happy with it. I thank you so much for listening and I appreciate the comments!! :) :)

Cantstopsinging Hey Metal Maiden.. have I ever told you that the titles of your renditions and the original artists usually mesh up inmy head as one being the other? Anyway, I think you have a great voice for rap metal.. in fact I think you shoud pursue this.. You could be spokesperson of Metal!!! Agreeing with Mark on the one track recordings.. Doube props to you today!! Joyce
Reply: LOL no you never told me about the titles and artists doing a flip flop, but thats an interesting concept. I never in a million years believed I could pull off this song when I started...I've been sitting on this track for well over a year!! I finally got up the nerve to learn it a few weeks ago and then it was just a matter of getting it recorded. Yes singing "live" one track recordings is quite the trip LOL. Thanks so much for the listen and comments!! Hugsssss :) :)
