Hi Folks...Here's a song many of you may be familiar with from the early 70's..such a pretty song by the Carpenters, I Immediately took a liking to it, very uplifting and after hearing Connie's Gorgeous Christmas song, I thought I'd share another Capenter's tune..recorded this one about 3 weeks ago, and was my first time attempting any songs by The Carpenters..hope to learn some more in the future...Thanks so much for your listens:) |

Karens deep smoky voice is one of my favorites and I have to admit when I saw this on the board from you- who I usually think of as "pretty lighter vocals" I had some doubts- but ya pulled it off! I was VERY surprised at how well you sounded singing this! Great Job Shar!~Paula |
Reply: Hey Paula..KC sure had a unique vocal style...I've had to cover many low range type songs for a project I've been working on, such as Otis Redding, The Association, Glenn Campbell.. been sick a lot and my voice hasn't been cooperating for a while now, just 2 more songs to go, and so many I should re-do,lol..went a spell for like 2 weeks in which I didn't record anything, just burnt out, I guess too..I ordered a new mic this evening so maybe that will help get me motivated to finish up. Thanks f |

I hope to record some more of these Great Carpenter songs..seems I recall you singing some of theirs as well as Connie and Joyce..nice to hear some great older songs..This was one of the songs for the song project..My voice hasn't been cooperating so well for me and just getting through 'em the best I can..had a spell where I didn't sing at all for a couple weeks,lol..kinda burnt out with it too..just a couple more to go and heck so many I should re-do as well.Th |
