KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - mav2100 performs The Shadow Of Your Smile on Karaoke Showcase - It was eighteen years ago on the first of August that I first met my best friend Don Janson. He shared a couple backing tracks with me for which I was grateful. I thanked him in a private message. He replied with a You're welcome. Help yourself to anything you want. Henceforth, began a friendship that would change my life forever. He encouraged me to sing again, something I willingly left behind when I started my family at 20. I had a new purpose and dedicated myself to it entirely. The kids became teenagers and we got a computer and mom got to use it when the kids went to bed. LOL! This was the very first backing track I got from Don and one of the first songs I ever recorded. I am not absolutely sure, but it may be completely without effects on the vocals. It sounds very dry to me now I looked for the folder to remix it and it's gone. I do hope you can stand my voice without reverb. LOL!! This one's for you Don. Here's to great friends no matter how far away they are. WHen he ws alive he was 4,000 miles away and now I hope he can hear my dedication! Happy Anniversary, Don. Thank you all for listening. Love yas! Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Pam P.S. WOW guess who's 94th. birthday it is? HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY BENNETT!!!

Jerry Love this song...I use to play it on my guitar and sing away. The reason I sang away was that I was not allowed to sing in the house. Great memories you have for your friend and the music you shared. This is beautifully recorded, clearly capturing beautiful vocal nuances of you both. One of the best with your friend and, together, an excellent duet.
Reply: How far away did you sing? LOL!! I adored that man and he was a great friend. Thank you so much for coming by and your wonderful comment. You are very sweet to me Jer. I really do appreciate you very much, Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhh, Pam

Dutchy As far as I'm concerned: no need for a remix, Pam, you sound fantastic!! And a great tribute to your deceased friend ... And by the way: I like Tony Bennett too, that's one thing we have in common ... Maybe we could get married after all ... LOL
Reply: Woooo hoooo, what colors would you like for the nuptial festivities? Thank you so much for stopping in Smooth Ed! You are much too generous. I am so happy you are back. I appreciate you so much, Mwahhhhhhhhhh, Pam
