I Only Want To Be With You Connie Hi Connie! Believe it or not, I'm a big fan of this song... I noticed it when it was the theme song for a show called "Arli$$" on HBO. I even purchased the Sound Choice disc, but it's the Bay City Rollers version. I'm guessing the one you did here is the original... but whatever the case, you sang that catchy melody to perfection! It sounds like a hard one to do, with that melody line jumping all over the place... but you kept it tight and "in the pocket" the whole time. Excellent job! I enjoyed my listen!
Reply: Hi Mark, Yeah, this is the Dusty Springfield version, and I'm pretty sure it's the original. I didn't know about the Bay City Rollers version, but I'm familiar with the Samantha Fox version, from the 80's. You may remember that one. :) I recorded it around the same time I did this one and will sub it later. Thank you SO much!! I'm a big on singing girl group songs from the 60's and Dusty Springfield is one artist I've always admired.
Turn Back The Hands Of Time Wildhearts Hey Babygirl! I've heard you sing this one before, and every time I hear it, it reminds me how great you are at it... and how much I love that pretty voice of yours! It's totally cool that you got Phill to bring back the 80s genre... it's been very much needed around here. It's funny, though... you probably could have classified this particular song as "Showtunes/Musicals." LOL! But there's a lot of songs that definitely fit the category... thanks for talking Phill into it! Honey, you sound terrific & I'm glad you're my girl! I'll call you back soon. Awesome job! xxxxxooooo
Reply: Hey Hon, I was gonna put this into the "Showtunes/Musicals," category, but I was excited about the 80s genre being put back, that I couldn't help myself LOL! Yeah, you have heard this one from me before and I know how much you said you liked it...I didn't have anything NEW recorded, so I thought I would post this one here since I hadn't yet! Thanks for another listen and the wonderful compliments. They mean a LOT! YOUR the BEST! :) xxxxoooo
I'd Love You To Want Me Rayfordp Hey there, nice to meet you. It's my first time listening to you, and I gotta say... I'm impressed! You have a very pleasant voice, nice upper register timbre. Most importantly, you have great CONTROL over that voice! I enjoyed listening... job well done!
Reply: Thanks Mark. I have listened to your submissions and I am impressed. You have a good voice! Keep up the good work ! Ray...
If You Leave ChrisDanielz Hey Chris! Good tune... I liked "Pretty In Pink" (Psychedelic Furs) too. Your rendition gives FULL justice to the original... you sang with great pitch accuracy & a nice blend of power and emotion. I really liked the overdubbing you did during the outro, too. Very nicely done, man! I enjoyed this one a lot!!
Reply: Thanks Mark! The 80's were my favorite decade, both living in it along with the music...We've come a long way since, but sure would like to go back for a visit. This was a great deal of fun doing, and hope it did at least give some element of credence to the original...Thanks!!
Terrified Soapguy Hey Jon, I'm a big fan of both Katharine McPhee and Kara DioGuardi... you did an excellent job here, both vocally and in the mix. LOTS of emotion in that voice of yours! Well done!
Reply: Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words, Mark. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. ~Jon
