This sounds fabulous! You did an excellent job on a very demanding vocal part here... very solid all the way through! Hi Suzanne! Unlike BamaKid, I don't think I've ever heard the original version... I guess I'm a huge 80s fan, lol. You did an excellent job on those vocals! The reverb works, but I love that echo on the words "can" and "hands;" it's a real standout part that sounds great! Enjoyed my listen for sure!
Reply: Thanks!! Yep, had fun with that echo part. Maybe one day I'll re-record it because the only thing I don't like is that it's done on my old mic, so certain parts stand out in not such a great way. But otherwise I like it. |

Hey Joyce! I saw you posted your Billy Squier song, but I came to this one because I haven't heard it yet. As always, your voice never fails to impress! Those harmonies are very thick & full... are there any Hooligans in there? Whatever the case, your lead vocal is spot-on perfect & sounds awesome! Very strong & tightly controlled. I liked this one a LOT... excellent job!!
Reply: Hey Mark.. I am very pleased you came to hear this one.. I have re-recorded this a number of times through the years.. and I am listening to it again to see if I can decipher a Hooligan.. recorded this about 3 years ago.. If a Hoolies in there it would be the lowest voice and when I blend with the backtrack singers sometimes I blend too much.. Joyce II Hooligan is going to be pissed at me.. Here she comes with a baseball bat!! Thanks Mark! |
