Song Title Singer Comment
Long Long Way From Home OHIO TOM Hey Tom, Kathy told me you had this song up so I just had to come check it out. This is probably my favorite Foreigner song & you Rocked it up GOOD! It's probably one of their hardest songs to sing, too... and you showed exceptional skill in pulling it off. That big jump on the word "hope" is tough, but you nailed it (along with the rest of the song). Very impressive job, my man... VERY impressive! Well done!
Reply: Ha thanks to Kathy then.... I am glad you like it Mark! Tough levels to reach I. Their songs but man they are freaking fun to do! Thanks for the great comments my friend!
Down In Mississippi Wildhearts Hey Babygirl! Oh, yeah... I remember you doing this one before. And it RULES!! You told me on the phone the song title, but I wasn't sure until I clicked play just now. Your vocals are fast, on target, strong, confident, sassy, bold, and PERFECT! You gotta do energetic songs like this more often, Hon! I checked my "Kathy" folder & you haven't emailed me a copy of this one yet. You know what THAT means, right? DO it! LOL You did an awesome job, Sweetie! I love this performance & I love you!! xxxxxooooo

Zombie Soapguy Hey Jon, you did an awesome job here! I've always liked this song, but I haven't heard this unplugged version before. Was this version also done by The Cranberries, or was it someone else? Thanks! Have you ever bought custom accompaniment tracks from karaoke-version.com? You can remove instruments and drums there to actually "create" an unplugged rendition of songs where there isn't one available. Anyway, you sound terrific, bringing a sense of "urgency" to those lyrics... it REALLY gets the message through! Great work on the melisma parts, and I liked the higher notes towards the end, too. VERY fine work, my friend!
Reply: I'm sure there are others, but the unplugged version I'm most familiar with is Jay Brannan's version from his cover album. I'll post a link to that one below. I think this is in the original key, though. If my tracks aren't single instrument then they're usually from karaoke-version, but I didn't know they had the option of removing instruments from they're tracks. I'll certainly have to look into it. Thanks for the info! ~Jon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmDKh0VKymc
Pour Some Sugar On Me BamaKid Heck, man... I LIKE this style on you! You got that nice Rockin' "edge" to your voice, you did a great job carrying that upper register, and the recording is loud & proud! I gotta say, this is a DARN fine rendition of the song! And yes, Mondays have been "Metal Monday" around here for years... but it doesn't get mentioned very often since the place has slowed down a bit. Still, Monday is the one day I stop by here to check the place out if I have time, and I'm REAL glad I stopped by here to hear this beauty! You did an excellent job... I'm impressed! And hey, don't forget... there's another Metal Monday next week. LOL Well done!
Reply: You mean I gotta come up with another one????? Danged, what am I getting in to? LOL I might just do that my friend. Thanks for listening to this old man. Bamakid
Fall Behind Me Connie Hey Connie! I've always liked this one & I'm glad to hear you doing it again... with a sparkling new mix, to boot! You did an awesome kickbutt performance here, a great song choice for Metal Monday... and of course, I always play you loud! It's been a long time since I've even heard the original version... so this song is "all Connie" to me now. They ain't got nothing on you! LOL I really like the reverb you used, too... you have a nice full "hall" sound going on. Well done!
Reply: Thank you SO much, Mark!! I really like singing their songs, especially this one. My first recording didn't have enough reverb and the vocal was too loud. It was very fun to sing again. :) The differences are pretty subtle, you'll hear them, if you listen to the original again. :)
