I like the new Sennheiser 835s or 935s my preference, the Sennheiser wireless prices have dropped. I still have the SM 58 wireless and they work OK. I've heard Audio Technica have a nice wireless, cheaper. I've used their wired mics and they sound really good.

Definitely Sennheiser mics. Where else can you get a receiver that tells you to change your batteries.

I've used AKG wireless for years and Sennheiser for wired.

GTD Audio receivers have a battery meter in them to show battery strength

I glance at my Audio-Technica and Shure Receivers all of the time checking on battery status (4 bars on all). That would be how a mixing engineer determines when to change out batteries since he does not actually hold the mic.

And on the transmitters as well.

Which model of the wired microphones are good?

I'm using the Shure SV100. But when I tap on the top of the microphone, for numerous times, sometimes it doesn't make a sound.
