Update to this topic. OpenKJ.org offers a program that normalizes karaoke files in the zip format. (I've never tested this so do make sure you have a backup of your music)

The developer makes very good software so give the normalizer a try.

My understanding is that it is a frontend for MP3Gain and that it basically allows you to use MP3Gain with zip files. Could be wrong. I agree that his other software is good.

correct. now you don't even have to unzip to make the volumes all the same.
i am so happy to have this, it makes things even faster when downloading a new song.
