The 2017 year is ending soon and I know many companies will start to offer deals.

I'm looking to expand my karaoke collection and looking to purchase compete libraries of songs from different manufacturers.

I've already took advantage of the SoundChoice offer ending Dec 29th
Quote:
The GEM Series - 6,000+ tracks, 3 payment options:
One payment of $3,000
3 Pay Price - 3 payments of $1,200 each
$750 down and 24 monthly payments of $200

I'm also in the works of getting the complete Sunfly Library 16000+ tracks at a competitive price of .50 cents per track.

I'm looking for more options for purchasing "Complete Libraries"

Complete libraries sound awesome and if you are a pro, would be well worth the cost. I haven't heard of anything else like the two you've mentioned aside from the rare Chartbusters hard drive.

I sometimes wonder how KJs get to a song library upward of 100k unique songs...

That being said, I only do it for fun so, I expand my library a little at a time when I can.

That's because they probably didn't legally obtain their 100k songs. I own nearly 8000 factory OEM karaoke discs and I only have around 80k songs. That comes out to around 28k+ unique titles (reasonably accurate because of hundreds of hours spell checking the file names).

I don't understand why anyone would want 'complete' libraries of each brand?? You are going to be buying up (guessing) 80+% duplicates. Not worth it IMO. I'll buy the songs I need as needed.

At close to $3.00 per song compared to $.40 cents a song when buying bulk sets.
Single track buying just seems to be getting costly quite fast. I'm also getting multiple requests for different versions of tracks I already have.

I'm actually wondering if Music Maestro ever released a library of songs somewhere?

Unless my version is totally flawed, I only buy the songs that are requested that I don't already have. No wasted expense the way I do it.

it gets costly, but you KNOW it will be sung. how many discs do we all have that have yet to have a single use?
i would rather have fewer songs and they all get used than pay for 16,000 + 6,000 + whatever other manu you buy and get the same 1,000 used.

Sure but at least I know the song will be sung. Instead of buying a bunch of tracks (don't care how cheap they are) just because they are cheap. Doesn't make sense - especially to duplicate the high majority that's within each manufacturers making the cost per song you do not already have higher anyway.
And I do NOT buy for 1 minute that you get multiple requests for different versions often enough to warrant buying every version - sorry. I can count on both hands in 25 years how often I get requests for different brands of songs I already have. Usually it's if the version I had was a bad version to begin with.

Its not all the time. Just wondered why people all of the sudden want Mm and LG versions both not available in the digital download chain.

Yeah not sure, MM & LG are typically the brands that I would replace with something better. Don't think i've ever been asked to get either version.

You cater to tourists, right? It's possible that who ever these people go to at home for Karaoke only have those versions of the songs so that's what they are use to singing and comfortable with.

This is a local bar I just picked up friday nights.

The former KJ has passed away from Cancer, So I got called to fill in, but they are used to Music Maestro and Legends series versions of songs, but I don't want to go back to buying the damn disks. there is no Download options to buy individual songs from those brands.

Working with a friend on Friday, had some people asking for the Legends version too, I figure perhaps these discs have been on clearance at different times, perhaps some home users picked them up and just learned the versions.

As for Music Maestro, I was sure I had heard of a SuperCDG that had been released with their tracks, I have never seen it, so not sure whats on it but perhaps an ebay/google search may prove fruitful.

Then get them used to the better tracks and tell them the MM aren't available anymore.

Funny thing about singers is they don't like change. Good thing they like the complimentary pizza we bring in.

The super CDG disks sounds like a good option to get MM Tracks pretty cheap. Ok time to go shopping.

Cheers!

Just so you know, the Legends discs were part of sunfly so if you have the sunfly version then the backing is the same, just the front page and text font are different

I have shared that with several of my singers and they just look at me like I don't know what I'm talking about.

Don't know what is meant by Legends being part of Sunfly. They were two separate companies with entirely different ownership. However both of these companies did purchase their content from the same sources (SBI and others like Bob Blank who now supplies tracks to Karaoke Version) as did numerous other companies such as Mr. Entertainer, etc. I even purchased a number of SBI and Bob Blank tracks toward the end.
