Hiya guys!
I'm currently looking at "Karaoke song creating software" so my question is - Can I use something that just creates a video, like (Power Karaoke's Video creator) or do I still need the programs that create CD+G friendly songs?
I was recently told that I should get a CD+G creating program by another KJ, but I don't see the need as I'm using computer stored or online databases... so enlighten me please? :?: oh, also I'd love to hear what software you use for making your own songs and why -if you feel like chiming in :P

- (Yes, I know there are multiple posts on this and yes I've read all I could find and the legal stuff on here too), but I didn't see this particular question. All I'm doing atm is playing for my own house/yard parties to get familiar with it all. I'm still on the learning curve lol and any responses and info is much appreciated.

if you want to create an AVI or MPG video then have at it no rules out there that says you have to do it one specific way. as a matter of fact most karaoke manu's now off multiple formats for karaoke songs.

As long as your karaoke player can play the video file, there is no need for the 'cdg' creator. Only difference is one program saves to video files, the other saves to cdg/zip files. If the player doesn't play video files, then yes you'd want to go for the cdg creator.
