My bad. I assumed if I clicked "quote" it stayed in the same thread.

On another note, Karaoke Song List Creator is not free. Check their site again. They have in big letters "FREE DOWNLOAD" but the program isn't free. The license was $99, but they're now showing it as half off at $49. Just click the purchase button on airwer's site to see the price.

I've only noticed the song book programs and I haven't checked the others, but if you're going to leave this thread as a sticky, it gives the impression that these are the latest prices. I think it's a great idea to show all the products available in one place and to leave it as a sticky, but I think someone should take a couple minutes each month to keep them updated. It'd be great for both the new users and the companies who make the products, some of whom sponsor this site. Just saying...

And they forgot one major songbook maker. Music Book Deluxe is a great little program coupled with KFR, a free file renamer program it works great in renaming the GEM series. Cost $99 plus subscription to database updates as low as 19.95 per month to 79.95 for a year's subscription.

You just made me realize they completely missed the whole file renaming category. There's a couple decent programs I can think of that could go in that category. Media Monkey, KJ File Manager, MP3+G Toolz, and I'm sure there's a couple I'm not even aware of. There's another song book program called Pilot Song Book too that costs $49. There should also be a new category for online songbook hosting. Karaokebooks.com, SongbooksLive.com, and there was a new one someone mentioned in another post and I don't remember the name but it did requests too so I don't know if it would fall into the kiosk category.

The list definitely needs some updating.

I think all comments in this thread should be deleted or moved to another thread. And future comments should be held to only update information and then deleted once the appropriate change is made.

Agreed. The original intent of this sticky post has been lost.

I think the whole thing should be taken down completely because the intent of making it a sticky has surely been lost if no one is going to keep it updated. If you're not going to keep it updated, unstick this thread and let it gracefully fade into history.

If my suggestion were adopted, the clutter would vanish and updates would be simple to apply.

This is very the problem. I never saw your mention of the lower Latshaw price due to the merged thread & page of discussion about the BASS engine.

From now on, just PM me any updates and they will be made. When you do, please include a link to the product instead of saying simply "You missed product XXX". Makes updating a lot easier.

I also added the renaming & Online categories. Both great suggestions.

I have to agree. What would be cool is if we, instead, made a sticky "Build an FAQ" topic, and people could work on FAQ questions and answers. The moderators could be the final arbiters, and start incorporating that into a locked sticky topic that could be semi-permanent.

Agree but it's really just for home use and it takes forever to load when the folder has lot's of tracks... It is friendly user alright but it's not very stable, it crashed a couple of time on me on more than one computer :(
