Honest Opinion only, PLEASE! Please give what you think is the best Karaoke CDG brand based on your experience of usage. Regardless if you like the company or not, I just would like feedback on what everyone here truly feels is the BEST brand of Karaoke CDG based on quality, durability, and usability.

Again, please leave out personal disputes with companies and just tell what you think is the best brand of karaoke if all the companies were considered equal!

Is burning the Sound Choice "Legally" cost effective in your opinion? Also does that deal with the transferring CDGs to computer systems? I have mostly Sound Choice, but wondering if that is in fact the best, need honest opinions, Thanks.

I have most of my Sound Choice from eBay.com for $1.00 to $9.00 Plus Shipping ($3 to $6), or circleofdeals.com for $5.00 free shipping because I order at least $50 worth, and Karaoke.com, AceKaraoke.com, and others when they have Specials or Clearance. I have NEVER downloaded any CD or CDG, just don't think it is right to the artist, etc. My family is really heavy into the Music Industry, and I really think they get screwed more times then not. Also CD and CDGs is an AMERICAN Industry that employs many people, but it is declining everyday, so I think Americans should think twice before they embrace the downloading trend, especially illegal downloading!

actually, I was parodying the "Head On" commercial.....maybe you've never seen it....lol....sorry bout dat. I believe you can download some SC karaoke legally, but the song list is rather short in comparison to the songs that they have put to karaoke. I believe if I own a cdg, I can put it on my hard drive for my own personal use, but I think the courts are still up in the air. There are about 280 million people in the United States(legally that is lol).....I'm guessing there are about 8 billion people in the world...the vast majority will laugh at any laws protecting the copy right laws of artists.....I buy a wrench, and I use it at work to make my living. I pay for it once, and I don't have to continually pay royalties to the guy that designed it.....he is an artist with a patent behind his invention.....maybe I should pay him a few cents everytime I tighten a few nuts....lmao

Soundchoice is a safe bet.  Chartbuster's country is good and Zoom also does a great job with whatever they do.

I would agree with everyone on Sound Choice.  Two others are SingKing and Karaokemaker for Canadian content.  Zoom is the best from the UK.  So many other manufacturers are very spotty.  Sweet Georga Brown is about half terrible and half not bad to outstanding.  The SGB #27 Blues disk is one of the best out there.

Sound Choice for the most part on all genres.  Chartbuster for most country, Pop Hits & Top Hits Monthly for newer pop/rock/country.  Heard some Zoom, they seem pretty good.

Zoom, Chartbuster, and believe it or not, my customers love SuperCore ( who compile under licence from other companies).

Politics aside, I've never bought into the SC hype.  Some of their stuff is great, some bite.  As posted on another thread, even some of Sweet Georgia Brown's tracks are better, and Elvis himself couldn't sing SC's version of Devil In Disguise. Way over-rated, and over-priced...

Actually they aren't that much over priced anymore at $17.99 per disc at most places.  Compares to just about any other company out there, plus if one is buying the monthlies at approx the same price, these now become more costly per song as they only contain 9 songs over the Spotlights 15.

Actually,  if you're a Karaoke Host ( I never refer to myself as a KJ- different deal) then the best version of any song is the one most of your singers prefer....

Seems all the best brands are free on P2P.
Naturally you would never download them.
You are all perfect.

free if you're willing to break the law

you can go break into a store and get free stuff, too. Course that has a clear and enforceable law behind it.

as for perfect, you certainly are lifting your leg around here lately!

Sound Choice or whoever requests 200,000 copies of a CD from a duplicating service.
They duly receive 200,000 copies.
250,000 copies are distributed.
It is common practise for duplication business’s to do this to any software or music disc not requiring authorisation codes. These firms are currently being targeted by software piracy.
Who amongst you were not aware of this.
Yes, there are good deals about aren’t there.
Love Sarah

This is called Grey Marketing and it used to be a common practice among Chinese manufacturer as well as many Asian manufacturer. The Nike were probably got hurt most by these Grey Market items.

Now days, these practices are not as common because companies got wise to these tactics and have put measures to protect them from it. I can't say SC or any of the companies have implemented them and further, don't know if they use off shore manufacturing. However, you will not find any of the US companies doing this because it's not legal. It's only practiced in countries where laws are pretty weak.

What I know is that most of the small volume CD duplication is not worth going overseas so they are done in the US so most likely that will not happen here.

Please, there is no need to appear perfect, or even clever.

Extract
"And to give some flavour of what they're up against, he had some startling revelations about the source of much counterfeit software: primarily, the very factory where the originals are being manufactured."

Full artical.

It seems someone working in SC's pressing plant would be payed so high they would never run off any extra. Maybe so.

I am finding why Jerry had an addiction to the forum.
I'm sadder than he is.
Sarah.
