volunteer much?

If you, like me, are tired of the monopoly held by MS Windows and Apple OS, join me in a small project.

My goals are simple.

1) Provide a quality operating system as low cost.
2) Ensure it meets the needs of a large group
3) Create a user interface that is "Familiar" to the large group.
4) The supplied operating system will be user update-able.

Since we are here at Karaoke Scene, I will include reference to an "Open Source"
software solution. (Guess)

Many of you may know that it's possible to run the above mentioned OSs in a VM window.
That being said, I'll do some preliminary work on this project.

I will offer a free laptop to one of more karaoke hosts for testing. (if willing)
I will also offer the software to any host that feels able to install on his/her spare laptop.

I am utilizing some modules I have archived that may prove useful.
Yes, the project will be open source.
No, it's not Linux.

Apple used a Unix variant (freeBSD) and created a clever user interface.
My project will also be Unix based.

Stay tuned, same bat channel, same bat thread.
