If we decide to exit this confusion what would a library of
Foundation 1 and 2-all bricks
about 500 spotlight(about a third still wrapped)
about 40 star series- all the packs from the karaoke contests-the eagles disk
all are mint
be worth? I have about 11k into those red logos
might have the rights to more sound choice than sound choice has

I wouldn't tell the buyer that a licence fee comes with the purchase if they choose to media shift. I would guess the demand for SC discs will go down with this policy.

I would guess you are very right :x Yes, because if you pay $200 without any discs, or $200 with all the discs why would you keep the discs?

Oh come on, let some of the other people at least a CHANCE of getting the disks that they want, you already own the entire spotlight collection, what more could you possibly want :o

That being said, i don't think he will have a problem selling them if that's what he chooses to do. He's already gotten offers from me, Chris, Kjflorida and now potentially you

Wait a second: The people who want to play SC now have a choice:

#1. Pay $200 month and have them all, or

#2. Buy up as many discs as you can find for a one-time cost, give a hearty middle finger to SC and play them as much as you want.

Based on the law of supply and demand, and evidenced by the immediate swooping in on this collection, I'd say that people are choosing #2 and the value of these discs has actually gone WAY UP.

I only need to replace one disc I already paid for and that is 8721. I need to get a clean rip of midnight blue or I'll have to replace it with karaoke version's version of it.

Keep in mind that if someone does pay the 129 per month-someone will have to furnish that library at 320--the pirate hardrives arent good enough. This could be some extra work for someone with a large disk library.

Insultingly low I'd say. Are you trying to see how naive he is?

These are (now) a very valuable commodity...

Which is good. I'm glad we've preserved ours.

Dave, don't let them low-ball you like this.

We've sold sets of 99 DK discs for over $1,500.00

I offered $30.00 for the one disc via pm. That's more than fair in my opinion.

That would be dishonest in my opinion. You'd be putting your buyer in the same position that SC has put its buyers. You're correct that the value will go down, if SC prevails in this.

The best i could do is $800 for the foundations and bricks, plus a disc swap if you don't already have the chartbuster essential sets.

I will also throw in the ripped music with the discs, save you hundreds of hours of work.

I wouldn't sell any of it. I think we are going to see some modifications to the current HELP program based on the backlash.

#3 - License the GEM set. None of the new plan applies. Still a great deal for a killer set.

So, in a garage in Farmington sits a veritable treasure trove of...

coasters!?

This would seem at odds with a clearly stated position of non-use and non-sale.

Just sayin'

the GEM set is a set of MP3+G DISCS that contain 6,000 of the most popular songs in soundchoice's catalog, that they were able to obtain licensing for before the window to license discs thru the UK closed.

The license for the set grants the user the right put the files on a hard disk and sound choice will leave you alone without any fees are audits. I forget what the conditions are, since i do not have the agreement that i downloaded to read anymore.

The license for the GEM does NOT cover any other discs that you may own that are not part of the GEM series.
One thing that they have to point out tho, is the transfering of these files, may not cover the publishers rights. But no music publisher has ever gone after a dj or a kj for media shifting. Plus it is my belief that these rights are covered by the venues who pay their PRO feesm so i would say you would have absolutely nothing more to worry about

The GEM contains all of the foundations, bricks and covers the entire spectrum of their catalog, from 1950's right up to 2009.

If you contacted PEP/soundchoice, they might even be willing to give you credit towards the GEM in exchange for the discs that you bought. They have done it before, but i cannot say one way or the other.

Gosh, I'd be hurt at your lack of faith in my honesty...if I actually cared one iota what you thought in the first place.
