Good to hear; quite a few of my regulars’ been requesting songs from Hamilton.

I posted this in another thread, I think it’s worth mentioning again:
“I’ve been seeing more & more new tracks being released by kv early.
KV continue to prove time and again they’re on top of the game.” :biggrinthumb:

KV has been my go to for years now. Look there first then fail over to the UK producers.

I like the look and flow of the KV site, receipts for every purchase, re-download already purchased tracks *even* in a different format. They answer emails and fix files when issues are pointed out.

I haven't had a single person ask me if I had any songs from Hamilton. I rarely have any singers at my shows who sing show tunes.

i hardly ever sing show tunes at karaoke. Once in a blue moon, just to be different. However the main reason I like to sing showtunes, is they helped me improve my singing. Singing difficult music forces ones self to improve.

There used to be a guy around here who always sang opera songs when he would come to karaoke. The guy was obviously very talented and the crowd always responded well to his performances. That being said; I doubt that many of those opera karaoke discs were sold in America. I kind of feel the same way about Show Tunes. Some people sing them very well but most people sing other genres of music for the most part.

You'll see 50 guys who sing Elvis songs for every guy that comes in and wants to sing something from a Broadway Show. Some venues may be different but I'm just generalizing.

You'll see 50 guys singing Metallica for every guy that comes in and wants to sing something from Elvis....lol. Showtunes even less. Never heard of Hamilton, never had a request for it so that will not be on priority list to purchase.

I am in an extremely artsy city with professional and local theatres all over, and no one has asked for anything from Hamilton either.

There are many more Elvis songs available in karaoke format than Metallica songs. I think there is an obvious reason for that being the case. Certain areas of the country could certainly be different for Metallica fans and or Show Tune fans but Elvis was called the KING for a reason.

It true 95% of people can pull off any pop, rock, country tune....Showtunes require talent...besides the many key change...tempo change...and other things...they are hard to do and do correctly. I have a lot of people do showtunes here but we have several theatres..as well....so that does help

Agree with chris! KV rock! Choice of download formats mp4, mp3g with colorful background designs or simple black background mp4, mp3g. Even download/re-download both formats; all or any files from your purchase history. And I might add you get 1 free track for every 20 downloads.

Actually if you don't download on the fly and get at least 5 titles at a time KV becomes even cheaper. When you download 5 or more at once the points double so it only takes 10 downloads to get the freebie. Between new titles and requests, very seldom do I not have at least 5 titles a week in my cart.

Last night, for the first time, someone sang "Alexander Hamilton" from the musical.

It was a private party... the singer was an 11 year old boy.

He has seen the play.

He nailed it.

Nobody has sung any songs from Hamilton at my shows. Oh that's right. I haven't bought any of them because none of my singers have asked me to get them.
