That gets on my wick like you wouldn't believe it. I am not a songwriter myself, but if I did possess such a gift, I would take the act of another person liking my song enough to want to sing it themselves as the ultimate endorsement/compliment to my work.

From what you describe about Henley (and this is not entirely aimed at him because I know there are many other singer- songwriters who take this "holier than thou" stance with karaoke), this all smacks of "only I am good enough to sing my song". Then keep your precious songs to your god damn self. Don't go public with your songs making huge amounts of money from sales of records and concert tickets, only to get on your high horse and say "oh they're not available" when somebody else wants to sing them, karaoke or otherwise. I believe, very strongly, that that is the most arrogant, self centred thing you can do in the music industry. It also sends the message that these people are scared someone will actually be better than them at their song!

It's not just Henley. There is an entire No fly list of artists that don't want their stuff on karaoke.

i agree with L.B., any of the artists on the no fly list i feel are just arrogant a$$e$.
it's like they see karaoke as an abomination of their art (one actually said something like that, can't remember who) and the enjoyment someone has singing it is not as important as the perfection in execution required by them to make it ok.

Out on Sound Choice #8734 & Legends #LG239. The SC version is the worthwhile version if you can find it.

Well you can put the Dr Feelgood song up on the request page at karaokeversion and hope other people will vote on it, but I would not hold out much hope for the Don Henley song, he is about as anti-karaoke as they come

Really? I've sung "New York Minute"!

Yes and if you tried to buy it now you would find it next to impossible as it is ONLY available on disc.

No one to the best of my knowledge is currently making new discs which is the only way you can get 'no fly' artists as the copyright owners will not license for karaoke downloads.

Hey there, folks. I just logged in here because my fiance and I are getting married at the end of August and we really want to find an instrumental version that may not even exist. The movie/stage musical Victor/Victoria has a song in called "You and Me", which is kind of our couple song, and we thought we'd actually perform it at our reception. Unfortunately, it's proving harder to find a track we can play than we realized. Any suggestions for us?

I don't think it is out there. I can't find "You and me" on any of the sites worth checking.

I wonder if Karaoke-Version would make it for you. They have it on list of songs for request..

http://www.karaoke-version.com/mp3-back ... nd-me.html

I suggest you reach out to them with your story and see if they can make it for you. You would probably get better results if you told them you need the instrumental and not the karaoke graphics. I've reached out to them several times and they have always responded in the most helpful manner.

I spoke too soon...
I think this is your song on the disc. You and Me Instrumental is listed as one of the tracks.

http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/window/ ... 46,00.html

It's for the CD.. You can rip it from the disk and have whatever quality you want.

Here it is on Amazon:

Hello, I request some help with a song.

Okay, so I actually have an instrumental version of this song (link below), and can provide lyrics (most if not all the lyrics sites are wrong)... it is called "In Your Face" by Children of Bodom.

The only issue is finding a .cdg file. My laptop gave me the blue screen so I can't simply make it myself. I was wondering if there was anyone here who is well-versed in making graphics files who could make one for me.

Thanks in advance!
