"Let's kill all the lawyers" is a line from William Shakespeare's Henry VI, Part2, Act IV, Scene 2.

The full quote is "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers".

This quote is among one of Shakespeare's most famous quotes, as well as one of his most controversial quotes.

The quote has been the title of movies as well as the title for published books.

Shakespeare may be making a joke when character "Dick The Butcher" suggests one of the ways the band of pretenders to the throne can improve the country is to kill all the lawyers.

Dick is a rough character, a killer as evil as his name implies, like the other henchmen, and this is his rough solution to his perceived societal problem.

There is some disagreement with the interpretation that one of Shakespeare's sympathetic characters would make a joke suggesting that killing lawyers would make the world better.

The Florida Bar Association contends the quote was a lawyer joke.

Well, "kill all the plumbers" just doesn't roll off the tongue as eloquently.

I haven't been here much because I've been tremendously busy.

The quote from Henry VI, Part 2, is NOT about killing lawyers to make the world a better place.

It's about where you start, if you want to seize power against the existing law and order of things. If--as in Henry VI, Part 2--you are a pretender to the throne, your first step has to be taken against the people who are the vanguard of the law, who protect society's laws against those who would seize power without the right to do so.

Everybody hates lawyers (until they need one, of course). But American society is particularly indebted to lawyers--lawyers like James Madison, who wrote most of the Constitution and Bill of Rights; Abraham Lincoln, who held the Union together; Franklin Roosevelt, who saved us from the most serious economic crisis the world has ever seen; and many others who have argued, legislated, and advocated tirelessly for our rights.

Most lawyers try very hard to adhere to our strong code of ethics. Are there bad lawyers? Unethical ones? Sure. And there are ways to hold them accountable for what they do.

8) Isn't the duty of every lawyer Jim to defend the rights of their clients no mater if they are guilty or not?

Of course Harrington re-appears only to weigh in about Shakespeare and entirely ignored the main reason this thread is even here:

Hi everyone,
I have over 30 people who were wanting to enroll in their SC program and they get sent to a voice mail or no reply at all. There are also KJ's who want to register their CB products for the one time $50 dollar fee, but they need to be re-assured that their media in fact will be covered.

What am I to tell people who used to buy from me who have no idea what to do and who are in fear of being sued for using their CB discs when they can't get an email or call back for assistance? Also, what do I tell people who want to do the Gem series? This is beyond ridiculous!

Crickets....

I'm beginning to wonder if Harrington is even still employed by Kurt.

Well in response to the OP, the only thing I could suggest is to not worry too much about it. the way things appear to be, I am starting to doubt that PEP will even be around as an entity in the next year. I too have noticed a decline in responses to my inquiries about various things to do with PEP.

Which makes me incredibly sad, if not very surprised.

Mr Harrington has been a extremely valuable contact to me, and I appreciate all the efforts he has made on my behalf

But it looks like Mr. Staley may have been right, I should have asked for a refund on my advance fee. Oh well

-James

The fact that Jim has disappeared REALLY makes me wonder if all this nonsense is finally over.

8) It might as well be over Smooth, only the uninformed would pony up any money. I'm sorry that a few hosts bought the pig in the poke new disc set. Looks like PEP took the money and run, so much for ethics, if you are not going to produce the product the advance sales should be returned. Then again this is PEP we are talking about, and might believe that taking money from their loyal customers is justified, since 95% of the other hosts have been stealing from them. I wonder who sometimes is actually doing the stealing?

I Dunno if it's 100% over....

That being said, It's the 1st one I've seen since July.

The SCE Website is down, being "retooled". Their FB pages and the PEP site hasn't been updated (Nothing about being closed for the upcoming holiday).

Short answer, PEP may not be dead, but might be in Zombie mode ::shrug::

Looks like "retooling" completed. But I don't know which one:

This? http://soundchoiceentertainment.com/index.html

or this? https://pep.rocks/

www.soundchoice.com is the web page I was referring too. It's just a splash page that its being "retooled". It used to have all their national stuff, etc.

The one you linked kind of looks to be a regular DJ company....

The irony that a DJ company with the name "Sound Choice Entertainment" has over 250,000 tracks hasn't been lost one me. The number of karaoke tracks is most likely WHY that page is a local DJ, instead of PEP's SCE webpage. I wonder if they are playing off the original CDs? :rotflmao:
