I got to this question as I was trying to listen and was sent to the archive.

What is the point of Archived ? Are songs stored so they can be brought back at a later date or are they removed completely ?

I never understood showing the 'archived' songs either, if they aren't available to listen to anymore - delete them and all references to them.

I originally I had it set to have them deleted not archived.

But some folks renew their membership and want to retain the song submissions.

If they are deleted - they are gone permanently.

I believe I may change that.

I would like feedback from others before I do so!

Except even if they are still members, after a certain date the submissions get archived it seems.

My Question is when will it take affect?

Phill, regarding the decision archiving vs deleting of the song info I clearly prefer to keep the concept of archiving of the song info. Otherwise the song info history would be deleted permanently and I think not being the only one who would regret this.

Unless server capacity limitations would make it necessary to remove the archiving I would appreciate to stick with it.

Incase the decision is to remove the archiving, it would be helpful if the complete list of all submitted songs is still available in the profile when being logged in.

The site is great and at least I would miss the archiving of the song info.

I can see where some would want to keep the archiving of the song info, or even songs, but as for me I would love to be able to delete what I do not want to keep.

Thomas, at least I agree that it may be good when there would again exist the possibility to delete comments received from other members and comments given to other members.
