okay, without getting into a pi@@in' contest, why (other than you guys saying so) are web addy's off limits? I can understand the links, cause that can cause excessive bandwidth issues...

This hasn't been an issue to my knowledge, at least, until recently.

Sorry - Until recently this hasn't been an issue. However, many have been abusing the signature lines by placing blatant advertising and multiple links in their signatures.

Example:

(Permitted)
---
Bob Stone
Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas
KJ over 15 yrs

{One website link in profile}

(Not permitted)
---
Bob Stone
Dallas/Fort Worth
KJ over 15 years

yeah I do Phil. And that'w why I wondered what would be the problem with merely typing in a web addy (not a hyperlink).

If something is amiss, it can be dealt with (as you guys did)...

Now, because of a few irresponsible people, we're all being so "ordered", and it's a burr under the ol' sock line! !

No hassles buddy, I was just curious. I'd like after a while you guys to reconsider a bit!
