Here on Staten Island there are a number of KDJs they all use 15 inch speakers.
One uses a 10 inch and the sound is tinny. Is there a diplomatic way to suggest he move to a larger speaker?
There are rumblings through out the event the system sounds like a cheap Am radio

One does not need 15" for that big sound. He just needs to know how to set it up properly.
What is the name (Model Number) of the speakers?

1) Room size can make a big difference with small speakers. Adding a Subwoofer will help room sizes larger than 1000 Square feet.

2) Adjusting the EQ while maintaining a good volume also can improve the desired sound.

Bigger is not always better. I started out with a pair of 12s. Because of theft, I had to buy what I could afford at the time and they were 8s. Never got tinny sound out if them, but I guess that I knew how to make them sound good. When I decided to go with active speakers to lighten my rack, I went with EV ZXA1S which were 8s and it sounded like I had much larger speakers bass wise. I now use 12s but am thinking about going back to 8s because of the weight factor and a bum shoulder, even with air assist stands.

They must be old not to have the bass capability that my 8s had. At this time, I wish I had just pulled the trigger on the wireless speaker system that I have now instead of being stubborn and continuing my Bluetooth speaker idea. Yes Lonman I am admitting that I was wrong not to have listened to you. Bluetooth works if you're just trying to send DJ or background music to your mixer but not recommended for putting between your mixer and speakers because the vocals end up in a delay that will drive you crazy.
