Hey guys, I have an acoustic project i'm wanting to start working on, and I was wondering if anyone might have some percussion they could add to it, congo drums, bongo drums, or something of that nature is what i'm looking for, if anyone is capable of recording something of this nature and has some free time, i'd really appreciate it, send me a pm or email, thanks.....Nathan:)

LMAO .....I forgot all about posting this, I think I may have been drinkin' this particular evening...lol....It's funny you say that about the coffee cans, I saw some guys at the Metro in Chicago that played entirely on plastic buckets, and what's more bizarre is that it actually sounded great....So yea, if your feelin' frisky, bust out those coffee cans....:)

Shame, shame Nathan....... drinking on the forums.

......And not sharing with Charmin.  :D

When we took our kids to Disneyland, one thing that really caught my attention.... there were guys all over in white jumpsuits walking around with garbage cans picking up trash. Then they kinda convened in a center place (I happened to be sitting there with my 3 year old on a park bench, else I might have missed it)..... all of a sudden, they turn the garbage cans upside down, and start playing this cool drum line. It was awesome, they were part of *the act* there, but it was surprising when they first did it, it was so unexpected. But, great musicians..... the things they did with the garbage cans & lids was amazing.

*Okay, polishing up my ol' coffee cans & tupperware, cause Charmin is ALWAYS feeling frisky*  LOL

I actually specified that already, some congos or something in the realm. The song i'm wanting to do is a tune from the 70's called "On and on". I would record the guitar first and send it to you, you lay the drum track and send it back to me, and i'll mix it.

Hey cham, I have a really excellent musical software called Acid Studio that uses actual accoustic loops (not that midi stuff)...it's pretty complicated (even a trained musician like myself has trouble figuring this sucker out), but I can do less involved things like adding voicings to tracks. if you want to send your file to me and let me try adding some percussion to it, no harm will be done--and I might actually come up with something that sounds good to you! I'm at michaeljayklein at yahoo dot kom.  Michael

It's a deal--I think I have some 70 or more different percussion loops on disc, including several bongos, so I'll make up several things and we'll take it from there Nathan!
