Hoster let me down on Saturday, already started a thread on MTUs forum but it's probably moot because I usually don't go back to using a software that let me down in the manner that it did. You may ask how I know that the problem lies within Hoster. Because I was able to use my backup program without the issue with Hoster. Actually have 3 karaoke hosting softwares on my computer. My dilemma is this. One software's kiosk/mobile phone software has security built-in to it to prevent a fake request. A you have to see me to set up your account plus I don't have to upload my database to an online site, sorta like Compuhost's original kiosk. The other has the better filler player with the ability to shut autoplay off without disrupting the song in play. The first software's remote request feature allows for auto add while the second one, I have to add the request myself as they come in.

The question is: Why are you still using Hoster? It's so Windows 98.

I don't use Compuhost anymore. It's a software that let me down during a show so I deleted it from my system and will never go back to it. The softwares that I have now are Siglos, Hoster and OpenKJ. Siglos uses a local server, meaning that you don't have to upload my database to an online site. Plus unlike Compuhost's original kiosk, I don't have to load software on a second computer.

Danny, are you serious? All you have to do is install the kiosk software one time. Just once! Is that too much trouble for you?

Compuhost allows you to use Songbooks Online, which integrates into Compuhost as well as their original Smartphone and Kiosk app.

I personally use the Smartphone app. It works great and I don't need to pay a subscription to use Songbooks Online.

Seriously Danny, you amaze me sometimes. Just because you had an issue with Compuhost in the past doesn't mean it hasn't been corrected. There have been several updates since you've stopped using it. Then again, YOU could be the problem.

Moot point, I am not going to pay for Compuhost again as I removed my only available registration from my old computer. Plus I like to know exactly how much time is left in a song specifically, not by the coloring of a box. And the biggest thing that I like abiut Siglos is that it factors times of songs exactly. I can tell so and so that they will definitely get called up within seconds of the time listed because the time used to tell me when a singer is due up takes into account the exact times of each song and not some guesstimate based on an average time. It looks like Siglos is going to win out, although if I can't hook up directly to a Wi-Fi connected to the internet, I am going to have to force my singers to choose between being able to submit a song or being able to access social media.

But it does exactly what I need plus they are very open to adding new features - many exclusive to them (I have several features implemented personally). I could give a flying F if the interface looks 'old'. The singers only see the singer screen which looks exactly the same as any other. Never liked CH.

I have decided to give Hoster a second chance. Hopefully whatever went wrong was a total fluke because it was working perfectly fine at home without any changes it decided to only give me music out of only one speaker. So no I am pretty sure it had nothing to do with me doing something wrong.

For a guy that has seemingly has very little money, you SURE seem to WASTE a lot of it by discarding programs that "let you down" without finding out WHY by purchasing other programs that eventually "let you down" too.

Dude! I'm SOOOOOOOO GLAD i'm NOT your business partner. If i were a personal friend i'd give you a TON of business advice that you desperately need.

And PLEASE STOP using the word "MOOT" toooooooo dang much....it's ANNOYING! (your fault Lonnie for teaching him that word lol!)

That is a very good question. Thank you for your concern regarding the correct placement of this thread, however you have more important things to worry about like your blood pressure. And if we'll live to see another day.

With all of the serious issues going on in the world right now, why would you concern yourself with such a trivial matter?

Thank you, my friend. Have a wonderful day.
