I thank God that I am the one who gets to sing the first song because the very first song I knew something was not right and I knew exactly what the culprit was. Bluetooth to Speaker basically didn't work out. Too much latency with the vocals. I could hear the last word coming out of my mouth seconds after I actually said it from the speaker. As soon as I reconnected the system with cables, the vocals straightened out and we're in sync with the music. Once I got that straightened out the night went smoothly. Absolutely no feedback as the speakers were high enough to get the sound traveling above the head of the singer or singers as I had several duets sung as well as three girls singing Wannabe by the Spice Girls, yeah I guess that still gets sung once in a while. The owner complimented me on how good the sound was. We are going to be running a cable above the door so I don't have to keep putting the cable under a rug, I just have to remember to bring another XLR cable with me to achieve what we want to do.

I think that I may have figured out why the vocals did what it did last night with the Bluetooth. I tested it out at home but connected the receivers differently. At home I treated each receiver as a separate receiver in regards to the transmitter. At the bar, I connected only one receiver to the transmitter and the other was connected using the stereo connect on the receiver paired with the transmitter. At home I didn't get the delay on the vocals.

I have decided that Bluetooth capability really isn't that important to me. Getting the best sound that I can is. While running Bluetooth would make setup issues easier for me, it really doesn't make the sound any better or worse. Adding a subwoofer or two might make it better but I personally don't think that I would be able to run it wirelessly. So I am abandoning the Bluetooth capability idea in favor of adding subs. If money wasn't an object, I probably would choose the subs that were designed to compliment my speakers but unfortunately for me it is.

for the size venue you have, a single sub would be enough to do the job. spend the money to get one instead of two, get the complimenting one, and cross it over.

You are on the same wavelength this time as I think that I stated it wasn't really a request for suggestions but after further thought, I remembered that while I liked the sound from Behringer's mixers and wireless mics, I didn't care for the 12" speakers that I had to borrow for a night while I was waiting for my new system to arrive a week later and I love my EV ZXA1 speakers. And I agree that I probably only need one for the venue that I am doing. If at a later date I find that I need a second sub, I can always purchase another one. Basically the cost of two of the cheaper subs is exactly the same as one of the EV ZXA1 subs.
