8)I'm just wondering if any host is doing a show on March the 17th, and if so are they doing anything special that night?

I believe that my bar asked me to do an early show for the 17th. Have to recheck that. I have to replace my car keys because someone walked off with my jacket last night while I was working. It was a madhouse for amount of people there, not so much for singers but it was almost over capacity.

Danny, I am so sorry to hear about the misfortune with your car keys. If I may offer a bit of advice that may help to avoid this dilemma in the future... always keep your keys on you. Keep them in one of your pants pockets. I personally use a belt clip and never have to worry. They're always on me.

I'm doing a special event (Fund Raiser) in the afternoon, then tearing down and re-setting 25 miles away for my regular Sat. gig that night... Usually play a lot of audio/video Irish tunes for atmosphere during the afternoon... but it's normally an all day, all night at one venue... Thank You Bose Compact !!! And Mucho Cerveza Verde... Ha!

8) The reason I asked this question is that nearly all of the non-profits in town have some kind of St. Pats day themed show. Even a few of the local bars will have some type of show, with green beer and all. It seems this event is mainly for an older crowd, and I know it is bigger back East than it is on the West Coast, and down South. Is this more of a regional thing?

Not trying to pull your chain Lone Ranger, It's still big
in the south, just about every city from St Augustine
to San Antonio, has anevent or parade to celebrate
St.Paddys day! Its bigger in scope to Mardi Gras,
not as prolific or extravagant, with the former being
A celebration and the latter a party of epic proportions,
Spirits flow freely at both events! Some citys, that parade
for St. Paddys are Houston, Dallas, Baton Rouge, Jackson,
it is even bigger along the gulf coast with a parade from
town to town. funny thing St.Augustine claims to have been
the first city In the world, with a parade to celebrate the
occasion, whereas San Antonio, has dyed their Riverwalk
Canals green!

hate to say it, but as a KJ, my 2 least favorite KJ nights are: st. patrick's and cinco de mayo

don't get me wrong. both are fine holidays. but i absolutely wouldn't miss either day, as a KJ, if i never hosted those nights ever again

come to think of it, a KJ night that i'd love to host but oddly enough, rarely get the opportunity is valentine's day.
