Same here. I buy it upon request. That's why you need 2 laptops. Your show pc, and the 2nd as back-up and for 'on the fly' requests. Song is ready in 5 minutes or less from paypal payment to download.

Have any of you had any requests to sing any of the songs from this movie? I see that Karaoke Version has about 10 of them available for download but before I purchase them I was just wondering if they would be popular or not with singers. So far, no one has requested them at my shows. And I don't want to spend the money for something that no one's ever going to sing. |

then don't. i had a few requested, but that's when i buy them, not before. if someone DOES ask, just buy it at that point and then you KNOW it will be done. |

I've had someone request one of them, though I don't recall which one off the top of my head. I just grabbed it when they asked for it. I'll probably end up with all of them eventually, since I have a group of regulars who do a lot of stuff from musicals. |

I've had one request... fulfilled it, and the individual is still working up the nerve to perform it. My guess is once the movie leaves the theatres, it's not going to have much impact going forward on requests. Show tunes are kind of difficult to predict... but it's good to be prepared for some of them. |

The songs of the movie aren't really that popular. Unless someone has watched the movie, most of the songs are unknown really. Better not make a purchase first. |

Looking it up in front of singer asking for song - Me:Cool! XYZ has it available for download, and it's only 3 bucks! Customer:(throwing 5 dollar bill on table) Awesome man! Thanks! No pressure or demanding payment . . . just a mention of price and many will gladly pay for the instant gratification. I don't think of it as making my customers pay for songs, it's more like they are tipping me for extra great service in filling their needs. If their fingers can't reach their pockets or I like the song, I'll usually pay for it myself and download it for them. If they have a habit of constantly requesting obscure new songs, never tipping, or leaving the establishment before singing the song I have just downloaded for them . . . Well . . . The Wifi comes and the Wifi goes. |
