Ok, to clear up some of my own personal confusion about Michael's statement that the streaming service will be available in Dex 3. I contacted PCDJ directly and asked them about the store purchase feature, and whether or not it will be included for their Karaoki program. Here is there response "Hi James , Yes, what we're actually doing is adding the store (ala carte purchase and downloads) to Karaoki. The streaming will only be in DEX 3 (and DEX 3 will not have the store). So DEX 3 streaming/subscription based - Karaoki will have just the store/purchase/download function. It will be a bit before we're ready to work on this for Karaoki however. The subscription option will likely be in DEX 3 prior. " So there you have it. Legal US & Canada downloads from a company that is actually making new music built right into their software. Looks like I can finally make a decision on which software will work best for me to replace the software i'm currently using James |

Karaoke.net downloads are incorporated into MTU Hoster as well. Once it's bought, it downloads and automatically adds it to the Hoster database for immediate use without any other steps needed. |

Can't add any songs.. computer keeps crashing.. *shrug* -James |

Sorry my post was confusing and appreciate your clarifying. Kjams also has the download store baked in and is nearly ready to launch the streaming service with offline mode available as an option in their software. Announcements will be posted soon. Michael |

Jclaydon, If you can come to the chat at www.mtu.com we can try to figure out what is going on in your demo version. Let us know and we will help try to figure it out with you. We just tested on our systems in the demo and all is fine on our computers. Thanks, Bryan |

I would also like to say that I neglected to point out what Lonnie posted as well---MTU hoster has the download shop and I just confirmed that they will also be integrating the streaming service as well. Our goal is to provide a legal, living karaoke library that can be used by any host or venue and appreciate Bryan and his team working with us. |

Kjams has Karaoke.net store in both Mac & PC versions. Also the built in store also auto updates showing current hits available with instant buy and download directly into software (internet connection is required). Also can export the database to incorporate into songbook or kiosk database for offline. |

The karaoke.net store keeps coming up with empty file error. Other than that I'm really impressed with the features. |

Karaoke.net must have been editing the file when I first tried to download it with KJams. I am probably going to be using the download links as I still don't trust the streaming. |
