You know how many times I have said, "Have a Plan B!"? This is a quote from the Verizon 2016 Data Breach Investigations Report http://www.verizonenterprise.com/verizon-insights-lab/dbir/2016/ (btw......this is a fascinating read for ANYONE. Some of the charts and data are complicated, but the summaries and analysis of the information are easy to read and understand. It's a long read, but I guarantee, you will get something out of it.) "Have a Plan B. If you have a system that cannot be patched or receive the latest-and-greatest software update, identify it, and apply other risk mitigations in the form of configuration changes or isolation. Discuss a plan on how the device(s) could be replaced without causing severe business disruption." |
