If you're a mobil KJ , how do you set your table up and hide wires etc ?

Pics please, I started using an American Flag around the base of mine, but don't have a box made for containment on table top

i actually had a banner made at:

bannersonthecheap.com for $19 and a little shipping

I got a 6ft x 2ft banner that is attached to my folding table to hide wires and stuff

you have to do all the artwork yourself in vector graphic format and then do the text layout
and build it all on their website and submit it. they will personally call you back if they have any issues with the print quality before they print it.

Most facilities provide a table that I don't use.

Just a black table cloth over a 2' X 4' table(mine). All the way to the floor.

I have a white, 6ft folding table. I cover it with a black or blue cloth. I drilled three holes along the outside edge of the table, and cut matching holes in my table cloths. I hot glued plastic grommets in those holes. All my wires run into those holes, so they are all hidden. That way, everything stays neat.

My table is an all in one solution. Everything except the laptop is attached including the table. It folds up and can be carried out with one hand.

Yeah, I clamp them directly to the speaker stands. Most of the time, I don't use dedicated light stands -- it's just more to carry around.

And it certainly makes it easier for the lights to "hear the music" when you have them set to activate with an audio trigger. The lights themselves are nothing special, but I have been good about using physically small lights that put out a LOT of light effects.

Some cabs like my PV's have flying points on top. I have a bar that holds 3 lights that I simply screw on top of each cab with thumbscrews. Unfortunately I have a rack with a yamaha mixer and comps in that I put in a server rack (X shaped portable stand for big restaurant server trays). The table gets a black cloth. Still working it all out.
I'm playing with hotspots mounted on the speaker poles as side fills. I use a guitar amp stand with a modded tv mount to slide the 34 inch tv on to at an angle and a floor monitor under it. Keeps the singer able to face forward and glance down a little to pick up the lyrics and interact with the crowd.

MrMamrog....Sweet little setup ya got there!!!

I purchased them from Home Depot about 8 years ago. They are black plastic. Home Depot shelves are now gray or tan. I also found a folding table and removed the laminate surface from it and attached it to the plastic shelving. The back rest is made from the spare legs with 1 inch pvc inside it for reinforcement.

I used a 1 1/8 hole saw and made several holes in the channels of the shelving and routed my wires through the channels. I have been using the same rig for 8 years. It has cracked in a couple of places but nowhere that causes any structural issues. You have to be careful with it, but because it a very small size it is easy to handle carefully.

It took quite a while to get it all figured out, but the end result was an extremely friendly and comfortable working layout. Ergonometrically speaking it would be hard to improve on. I have now removed the CDG player, the A/B switch and a few other items.

I use a wiring harness consisting of 3 XLR's for the mics, 2 1/4" cables for the laptop, 1 Ethernet cable for the router, 1 balanced 1/4" for main out, 1 balanced 1/4" for monitor out, 1 power cable for the T1 Mixer.

Here's a short video of an "Outdoor Gig".
Look quick to see the setup.
The "Table" is a 40 foot flat bed semi trailer.
Yamaha paid for the gig, so it turned our OK.

Why someone use a router?

Possible reasons include remote requests and buying on the fly or digital mixer although the picture doesn't show a digital mixer.

Danny, If your refering to karaokeniagra falls picture in your comments above, the picture certainly does show a digital mixer, the Bose T1 Tonematch which is a digital mixer.
It looks like you also now have a Bose T1 Tonematch, correct?

The mixers that I consider digital usually are controlled via computer, Tablet or smartphone. As far I can see the Tonematch is more like a conventional mixer as the controls are on the mixer itself. and yes I just recently got a Tonematch. Haven't had time to use it in a real live show.
