First of all Thanks PHM for the RYOK sample but there were no instructions on how to do it
Second..I don't want to spend a lot of time trying to put it together..when I find songs to download in a matter of seconds
Third...with all the issues I have read so far from other kjs trying to use it...don't want to deal with it
I personally feel a much better job should have been done putting it together before releasing it...IMO

iF YOU EXPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS TO FIND THE BUGS FOR YOU, YOU SHOULDN'T BE CHARGING THEM FOR THE PRODUCT YOU EXPECT THEM TO TEST FOR YOU.

I'm glad I didn't get sucked in to paying for it

I Second that!!!!!..Im not going to pay for something Im help testing...NO WAY!!!!!!!
I can not believe that PHM is using this as their tester and having people buy this...Im sorry but that is totally wrong. Im sorry but if this is what you were talking about ..when you were looking for people to do testing count me out..Im not giving money for a product that is not working correctly
Although I have not spent money on it others have.....and its not fair to them
Look PHM ..when and if you get the bugs worked 100% out please let me know.
Honestly PHM ..you should be paying the testers for their time not trying to make money off a unfinshed project.

here's another old saying:

Why buy the cow(pay beta testers), when you can get the milk for free(get the suckers to pay for the privilege)

Having people pay to use a beta product is becoming a more common practice. It is part of the business plan and can be effectively used to give enthusiastic early adopters a chance to get early if not exclusive access to new products. It is a small but untapped revenue stream.

A great example of this is EverQuest Next. They are offering a "Founder's Pack" to gain access to an ALPHA version of the product.

https://www.eqnlandmark.com/founders-pack

There will be those the buy in, provide valid and beneficial feedback to ultimately make the product better. Then there will be those that take a wait and see approach because they want a cleaner, more complete and stable product. Both groups get what they want and are generally both happy about things.

There is a final group who will stomp their feet and complain about it because they don't understand how the above works and because they are just the kind of people that like to complain.

It not a matter of complain it a matter of morals....its just wrong to charge for a product that is not working correctly...and besides it not just testers..this product is being sold to the PUBLIC as is....would you by a car ....stereo..or anyother product off a shelf if you know it wasn't working correctly...no you wouldn't and no where on it does it say beta version.

They aren't charging for Beethoven. You get it free when you buy their ryok pack. The Rep said it was clunky and buggy to begin with. We were warned.

Yup. Besides, it's not as if I have bought something COMPLETELY useless, I still have the music.

If I was still hosting, I could pay someone to do the lyrics for me.. Yes it would be extra money, but that would be my choice.

it not a matter of warning ..it a matter you don't put out product that doesn't work...and no where on the pkg does it say Beta...how about the people who weren't warned and they buy it not knowing.....
I Feel they should pull the product ..until they get they bugs worked out

Beethoven works. If you never have done any homemade tracks then you can't appreciate the work the karaoke manufacturing companies do for us. Bruce and Chris understand what I am saying.

I resolve my issue with Heart Of Dixie by moving a word to another line. So as far as I am concerned it was user error and not the programs. Other than that issue I am getting usable versions. so it works for me. It only works right now for the songs Pop Hits is putting out.

Oh and I also fixed it so that I don't get created by karlyriceditor anymore by registering karlyric editor.

If you get a 2 Star rated lyric, you will have a 2 star experience. That much seems to be consistent so far.
From what I understood from Bastiat's explanation, the Beethoven software looks at the lyrics you COPY AND PASTE into it, and then gives it a rating of 1 to 5. So, when you give Beethoven a 2 star rated set of lyrics, can't you just do an internet search for the lyrics and COPY/PASTE those lyrics from another site (in the hopes that it will get a higher star rating)?

or you can just buy the songs from another manufacturer and avoid the hassle all together.

Btw Chris, do you know if you have to have some kind of video codecs installed to export to a video format, I tried it several times and got the same error message about not recognizing the video format.
