What are some recommendations on a decoder that will be used with a Sony CDP-CX455 Megadisc changer?

The decoder's output will to a TV for video and what device for audio?

automan,
just do like the real cowboys do... buy a real 3 drawer machine.. Both JVC and RSQ make them, Don't be so darn lazy... decoders are out CDG and dvd multi players are in.. and if you are real wild put them on your pc if you are that much of a karaoke cowboy.. but keep the originals with your show at all times... pc's fail too..

good luck..

well, the previous poster was a wealth of help.

Original Poster, IF the sony player has an optical out and is NOT anti-skip, you can get the standard Leader Decoder i thing is is a G-1. that should make the output a composite video. you would then need to probably use an RF modulator to convert it over to RF and pput the on channel 3 or 4 on the TV

The audio will just hook up through the line outs of the player like it always had.

I will warn you, these players are NOT reccomended for mobile karaoke use as the player MUST he kep level at all times, or the discs will slip out of the slots in the changer, causing disc and changer damage.

Well said Midnight!

The decoders were developed so you could use a standard CD that was so equiped... why bother going out to get a new machine, when a smaller additional unit would help you? The main thing to understand though is... the decoders sometimes cost as much as a single tray or even the triple tray player will cost!!!
